Tory Martinez is a seasoned Senior HR Executive with 20+ years of experience crafting high quality organizational development and talent programs. As the current Executive Director of Talent Development for BioMarin, Tory oversees the design and implementation of enterprise-wide learning and development programs, performance management strategy and tactics, as well as our approach to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
In her 17 years at BioMarin, Tory has advanced through numerous roles in Human Resources, most notably as a Lead HR Business Partner, where she supported various lines of the organization through the development of thoughtful and innovative performance management practices. With a goal of ensuring every employee feels welcome, Tory’s current focus is bringing BioMarin’s DEI roadmap to life through the strategic removal of environmental barriers to diversity. Prior to her time at BioMarin, she served in progressively senior roles in high tech and biotechnology companies.
Tori holds a Master of Science in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Spanish from Indiana University.
