- The Grateful Garment Project
Biocom’s top priority is the safety of our members and the well-being of our employees. After careful consideration, Biocom has decided to transform our Life Science HR Conference to a fully virtual event. We know that many lives are being impacted and disrupted by COVID-19 and we are grateful to be able to continue offering our members valuable content in a safe manner.
As a Human Capital executive with over 20 years of experience, Shannon has led the People function in a wide variety of industries (professional services, tech, biotech, and not-for-profit) as well as environments (from start-ups all the way to global organizations). Currently, she is the Vice President of Human Resources for Geron Corporation. Geron is a late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and potential commercialization of the first-in-class telomerase inhibitor, imetelstat, in hematologic myeloid malignancies.
Shannon holds a masters degree in Organizational Development, as well as her executive coaching credential from the Hudson Institute of Coaching in Santa Barbara.
She has two teenage children (who require a lot of food) that bring joy and chaos to her life. She loves to ski, practice Pilates, travel internationally, cook for loved ones (which is fortunate given her children), and is currently working to improve her garden.
Shannon thrives on partnering with committed leaders to bring out the best in people and accelerate organizational performance.
